Overview
The VT-42MP multi-function handheld meter is a photoelectric meter (9-IN-1), which supports multi-function on optical fiber and RJ45 network cables in just one compact hand-held device including: optical measurement OTDR, optical power measurement (OPM), optical signal source (LS), fiber optic breakpoint (OFR), fiber optic detection (VFL), visual mapping of events on fiber optic cables ( iLOM), test network cable standards, detect network cables and measure network cable length (RJ45 connector).

Feature
- The meter integrates optimally with the most essential fiber optic maintenance and test functions including OTDR/OPM/LS/OFR/VFL/iLOM and RJ45 network cable testing at the lowest cost.
- The OTDR function is capable of measuring up to more than 64km and the dark (unmeasured) area is short.
- The OPM function measures up to 8 wavelengths, optionally with a universal optical connector, which can measure optical power from -50dBm ~ +26dBm or -70dBm ~ +10dBm.
- iLOM function: allows intelligent and automatic construction of optical characteristic maps with just one button operation. The map displays complete information about the components on the test cable route (welds, connectors, ...).
- The meter has the ability to store over 1000 graphs of measurement results and has the ability to expand storage by inserting an external memory card via the micro-SD card slot and the firmware update feature is also done via micro_SD card. The meter can be connected by USB to a PC to facilitate the transfer of the result file to the computer, which supports the accompanying measurement file compilation software.
- VFL function detects fiber quickly with laser power greater than 10mW.
- The meter design is extremely compact, sturdy, handy and has an impact-resistant, dust-proof, water-resistant case. Easy to carry and maintain. Large 3.5" color LCD with bright backlight displays results clearly. Comes with a beautiful, compact, shockproof carrying bag for the meter.
- Short start-up time, less than 05s. Fast test time with just one press, automatically giving measurement results after 15 seconds. Optional support for measuring results after 5s; 15s…180s.
- The meter supports a universal probe compatible with FC/UPC, SC/UPC or SC/APC standards, which can be converted to standards by jumper.
- Built-in high capacity Lithium battery up to 4000 mAh, can be used for 12 hours of continuous measurement and more than 20 hours of standby, with optional battery saving mechanism: the screen turns off automatically after 10'; 30'; 1h; do not turn off.
- Charge the battery with a Micro USB port (similar to a common smart phone), extremely convenient for users.
